Fresh Strawberry Margarita

This Strawberry Margarita combines ripe strawberries, fresh lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur, and a touch of agave for a fruity twist on the classic margarita.

Fresh strawberries give the cocktail a naturally vibrant color and sweet berry flavor, while lime keeps it bright and refreshing. It’s quick to prepare and perfect for summer gatherings, backyard dinners, or serving alongside tacos and other Mexican-inspired dishes.

Tips

Fresh lime juice makes a major difference here, so I wouldn’t replace it with bottled lime juice unless necessary.

Start with less agave and adjust after blending because strawberry sweetness varies considerably.

For a stronger frozen texture, add additional ice gradually rather than adding too much at once.

On-the-Rocks Version

Prefer your margarita over ice?

Blend the strawberries until smooth, then combine the strawberry puree with tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave in a cocktail shaker with ice.

Shake thoroughly and strain over fresh ice.
