Ingredients

  • 8 oz cheddar cheese cubed or sliced
  • 6 oz thinly sliced salami
  • 8 oz mini mozzarella balls
  • 2 cups assorted crackers
  • 1 ½ cups mini pretzels
  • 2 cups black or purple grapes
  • 4 mandarin oranges
  • 1 small celery stalk
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 2 cups popcorn
  • 1 cup assorted Halloween candy
  • ½ cup black olives
  • 1 cup hummus ranch dip, or preferred dip

Method

  1. Choose a large food-safe serving board or platter.
  2. Wash and thoroughly dry all fresh fruit.
  3. Cut the cheddar into cubes, slices, or Halloween shapes.
  4. Fold the salami into loose clusters.
  5. Peel the mandarins and insert small pieces of celery into their centers to resemble pumpkin stems.
  6. Drain and dry the mozzarella balls.
  7. Place tiny pieces of black olive onto several mozzarella balls to create simple edible eyeballs.
  8. Position one or two small serving bowls on the board and fill with dip, olives, or candy.
  9. Arrange the cheese, salami, mandarin pumpkins, and grape clusters around the bowls.
  10. Add rows or small clusters of crackers.
  11. Fill additional areas with blackberries, pretzels, and popcorn.
  12. Add small clusters of Halloween candy.
  13. Place the mozzarella eyeballs throughout the arrangement.
  14. Fill remaining gaps with small ingredients until the board looks abundant.
  15. Serve shortly after assembling.

Notes

Dry fruit thoroughly before placing it beside crackers to help prevent sogginess.
Add crackers, pretzels, and popcorn close to serving time for the best texture.
Keep perishable ingredients refrigerated until shortly before serving, and refrigerate leftovers promptly.
Feel free to adjust quantities depending on the size of your board and the number of guests.
